Reimagining Hospitality

a Rich History

Designed for Comfort, Rooted in Lancaster

Domain Boutique Rooms is a new kind of stay in the heart of Lancaster’s historic quarter. Housed in a lovingly restored 300yr old Georgian building, our seven rooms blend bold design with a deep sense of place. Each space is unique – styled with care, layered with texture, we’ve considered every detail. We’ve invested in the best beds, comfiest mattresses and softest duvets to give you cloud-like comfort and your deepest sleep.

We’re proud to be an independent, Lancaster-born project – designed by locals, built by locals, and shaped by the makers and trades of this city. You won’t find a generic hotel here. Just thoughtful spaces, a curated local guide, and access to some of the best independent food and drink in town.

And just as much care has gone into the building itself, so it can go into the next 300 years with sustainability at it’s core. We’re super-efficient, and powered by 100% renewable energy, and every stay supports ocean clean-up through our partnership with Plastic Bank.

Expertly Designed

A Stay Designed Around You

There’s no check-in desk, no keycards, and no queueing. Instead, Domain is built for how people travel now – mobile-first, intuitive, and beautifully simple.

You’ll check in from your phone, access your room with a smart lock, and get instant access to our team 24/7, from anywhere. Need something sorted or fancy a late-night tip for where to go? It’s all in your pocket.

We haven’t removed the front desk. We’ve reimagined it.

A Breakfast You'll Love

Breakfast, Redefined.

Forget limp buffets and stuffy dining rooms. At Domain, we’ve partnered with our neighbours Journey Social, Lancaster’s award-winning independent eatery, to offer you something better.

Enjoy a regularly changing menu of fresh, creative takes on breakfast and brunch favourites, paired with outstanding coffee. All served just steps from your door. It’s breakfast the way it should be: full of flavour, rooted in place, and made by people who love what they do.
